CSR Initiative by Equifax, Implemented by AMFI-WB (Dec 2024 – Mar 2025)

AMFI-WB, with generous support from Equifax, launched a transformative CSR project aimed at enhancing the vocational and entrepreneurial capabilities of women across six districts of West Bengal — Birbhum, Bankura, Dakshin Dinajpur, Nadia, Howrah, and South 24 Parganas.

The project focused on livelihood development through skill-based training, market linkage, and credit facilitation for over 350 women beneficiaries, including microfinance borrowers and SHG members. Key components of the project included:

• Entrepreneurship Training in trades like Sabai grass products, tailoring, beautician services, batik printing, and phenyl making.
• Business Development Workshops on credit linkages, digital marketing, and customer relationship management.
• Buyer-Seller Meets and integration into AMFI-WB's e-commerce platform to provide real market exposure.
• Training Infrastructure Upgrade to support large-scale, long-term skilling and mentoring initiatives.

Through structured mentorship, market integration, and continuous capacity building, the project successfully empowered women to build sustainable enterprises and generate independent incomes. The initiative not only enhanced financial inclusion but also paved the way for long- term community-led development in the rural and semi-urban belt of West Bengal.
